Before TonyView

For this hillside living room, the corners in the dining area got in the way and obstructed an otherwise lovely panoramic ocean view. It’s a familiar story for a lot of homeowners: a beautiful space, just stubborn structural elements holding it back from feeling truly open.

The homeowners weren’t short on views, but they were short on access to them. A conventional framed corner split the room’s two walls of glass, breaking up sightlines to the yard, the garden fountain, and the coastline beyond. What they wanted was more natural light throughout the room and a stronger sense of connection to the outdoors, without losing the structural support the corner provided.

The Transformation

TonyView made that possible. Replacing the framed corner with a load-bearing structural window opened the room to a full panoramic view, palms, garden, and coastline all visible in one continuous sweep of glass. The change brought in noticeably more natural light throughout the day, and because the system is built with a thermal break, the room stays comfortable without the heat gain or loss that comes with that much additional glass.

The result is a living space that finally does what the homeowners wanted from the start: it feels open, well-lit, and connected to everything happening just outside the window. The structure holding it all together is still there, doing its job, but it’s no longer something anyone has to look around. It’s a small architectural change with a daily impact, one the family notices every time they sit down for dinner with that view in full view.
